I am suffering from shoulder and arm pain especially at night. I theorize it has come from picking up balls with left hand; picking up cue chalk with left hand and chalking with left hand. Also putting weight on overstretching the bridge hand arm. I am now picking up balls and chalk mostly with right hand.
I customized a bridge glove to have a little rubber for gripping on the table on the palm and middle finger tip. This works great as my bridge hand is very stable with only the weight of my hand. Even if you don’t have shoulder pain, the glove customization can be a big help for stable bridge. There are probably gloves like mine for sale.
It is a good idea to be aware of this to prevent pain and improve your bridge.
